Jacare Jamie - Wildlife Educator From a young age, Jacare Jamie's dream has been to work with animals. In fact, he moved from Cornwall to work full time at Little Ray's.
Jacare (pronounced JA-CA-RAY) has been working at the zoo since the summer of 2002. He uses his knowledge of animals and his "wild" sense of humour to make his presentations both educational and fun for the children (and adults).
Jacare has a Biology degree, having graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2004. He is also one of the bilingual keepers at the zoo, giving interesting presentations in both French and English. Jacare's favourite animals at the zoo are the alligators, the Birds of Prey and his co-workers. If you see him at the zoo remember, sudden movements and flash photos make him prone to bite! Approach with Caution!! |
