Savanna Jeanne - Lead French Wildlife Educator Bonjour,
I am "Savanna Jeanne", I was born in Ottawa but raised in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. My whole life I wanted to be a zookeeper. Foolishly, I never had enough confidence to pursue zookeeping, but with luck on my side I stumbled blindly (and I mean BLINDLY!) into Little Ray's almost 2 years ago and have been here ever since.
I have a diploma in Forestry, Personal support worker, and Adventure naturalist but nothing compares to being a zookeeper. I love anything that grows, trees, plants, animals, kids….. I love our reptiles like my favorites, Crested geckos and monitors, but my true love for animals belongs to elephants. I hope to some day, move onto researching elephants. Aside from all my 31 pets and 26 plants, on my spare time you can probably find me doing something outside!! I like to spend as much time as possible in the woods, biking or kayaking. I hope you have a fabulous time at the zoo or at our shows/displays, it is definitely worth it!! I mean come mon, how many times do you get to hold a skunk, touch a crocodilian, or watch a giant snake eat? Salut! |
