Lyndsey Russell- Wildlife Educator Hi I'm Lyndsey! I've been passionate about reptiles since I was a little kid chasing painted turtles in the river. I have a degree in Zoology and hope to work in the area of reptile conservation, maybe Sea Turtles or Komodo Dragons! After graduation I was determined to work with reptiles, and after searching all over Ontario I came across Little Ray's. They offered me a job full of travel and animals, how could I say no? This summer I was part of the Little Ray's cross-country tour, going all over Western Canada with giant snakes and crocodilians. We had a blast, met lots of great people and saw some amazing parts of our country. Now I'm exited to be a part of the fall Jungleland tours travelling to other towns with a mini zoo. My favourite reptile is the water monitor… or maybe alligators, or snakes… maybe turtles, they're all really cool in their own way, its much too hard to choose! I even recently overcame my fear of arachnids, and now me and Rosy the tarantula are great friends! In my spare time I love to play with my puppy, wakeboard, snowblade or just hang out somewhere sunny (it's the reptile in me!) I hope you come visit us at the zoo! |
